STOP THE BLEED® Pre-registration: The afternoon breakout sessions also include a STOP THE BLEED® training. In order to make sure that we have the right number of trainers, we are asking those interested in being trained to pre-register. There will likely be two sessions for this training to allow for people to rotate through other trainings and presentations. You only need to sign up for one of these sessions. Start times for STOP THE BLEED® are 1:00pm & 2:15pm. Other breakout sessions do not require pre-registration.

STOP THE BLEED® Description:

STOP THE BLEED® is a grassroots national awareness campaign and call-to-action. STOP THE BLEED® encourages bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. STOP THE BLEED® is the result of a collaborative effort led by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACS COT) to bring knowledge of bleeding control to the public. This is an interactive, hands-on learning experience where you will learn the steps to recognize and treat life threatening bleeding until First Responders arrive.

Trainer: Scott Wilson (Atrium Health) lead trainer
