Finance, Administration, Management Support, & Information Technology Section

FAMI wants to commend all public health employees for your dedication and hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic.  It takes an exceptional person to work in public health!

Greetings

Welcome to the North Carolina Public Health Association (NCPHA) and the FAMI section.  FAMI is short for Finance, Administration, Management Support, and Information Technology.  The purpose of the FAMI Section of the NCPHA is to provide an opportunity to network with others throughout the state who are involved with financial reporting, budgeting, computer programming and technology, supervision, clerical support, billing, and all other aspects of administrative support.

My name is Andrea Freeman, your 2020-2021 section chair.  I have been in Public Health since April 2006 and a member of NCPHA since January 2012.  I am currently the Finance Officer for Martin Tyrrell Washington District Health Department in the state's eastern region.  I welcome the opportunity for questions, comments, or ideas you may have to make the FAMI Section better.  Please do not hesitate to contact me or any member of the leadership team.

How to Join

While we welcome everyone with open arms and warm smiles, our section aims for members that typically work in the financial, administrative, management support, or information technology fields.  Section dues are $5 and can be paid when you join or renew your membership with NCPHA using the following website https://ncpha.memberclicks.net/member-center-join.  I challenge every county or district for at least one person to join the FAMI section and attend either the NCPHA 2021 Spring Educational Conference in Raleigh or the 2021 Fall Educational Conference in Asheville.
